Ana ‘Cuqui’ Rivera
Advocacy Coordinator for the Hispanic Directors Association of NJ (HDANJ). As a Leader in the Latino Community she currently serves as the Executive Secretary for both the Latino Leadership Alliance of NJ and the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NJ Chapter).
Cuqui also moderates 6 yahoo newsgroups related to advocacy and community empowerment. Cuqui serves as Planning Chair for the NJ Community & Corrections Working Summit, Impacting Communities of Color Initiative; the Steering Committee for the 2nd Chance Re-Entry Initiative of the NJ Institute for Social Justice and Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman’s Working Groups on Criminal Justice.
Ms. Rivera has served on the Governor Corzine’s Transition Team for the NJ Dept. of Corrections and Parole Board. She has extensive service in areas of Youth, Social Services, Community Building, Advocacy, Minority Issues and Human Relations to name a few.
