Cid Wilson
Cid Wilson is a nationally-recognized Afro-Latino activist. He is the former National President of the Dominican American National Roundtable (DANR) in Washington, DC. He also serves on the boards of LatinoJustice PRLDEF (formerly the Puerto Rican Legal Defense & Education Fund) and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). He is a “Gold Life Member” of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and he is member of the national Latino-Jewish Working Group of the American Jewish Committee in Washington, DC.
Wilson is a Wall Street financial analyst for Kevin Dann & Partners LLC in New York City. In 2006, Forbes ranked Wilson as the #1 Wall Street financial analyst in his field. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ and he also serves on the state board of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges. Wilson was appointed by Governor Jon Corzine to serve on one of his most important transition committees, the Property Tax Policy Reform Committee. He serves on the Ethnic Advisory Board for PepsiCo Inc.
Wilson has been featured numerous times in the media for his corporate success and community contributions. In February 2004, he made the cover page of Black Enterprise Magazine for his activism and national leadership. He was featured in many other magazines including Hispanic Magazine as well as Poder Magazine. He has been cited in the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, Reuters, and other financial media many times. In January 2008, he was profiled on ABC News in January for his work as an Afro-Latino activist and a nationally-respected Wall Street executive.
Wilson is a resident of Leonia, NJ and a life-long resident of Bergen County, NJ. His parents came to the U.S. in the 1960’s from Barahona, Dominican Republic and his father, Dr. James A. Wilson, opened up one of the earliest medical practices in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan.
