LLANJ Board of Delegates

José Laureano

José LaureanoJosé Laureano has over ten years of experience working in higher education. He is currently employed as the Manager of Continuing Education & Global Programs at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Prior to returning to Rutgers he worked at Middlesex County College as the Assistant Director of the Perth Amboy Center and as a Senior Counselor with the Rutgers College Educational Opportunity Fund program (EOF).

In the community, he currently serves as a Board of Delegate member of the statewide Latino Leadership Alliance of NJ (LLANJ) and sits on the Education Committee. Mr. Laureano has been active with LLANJ since its inception. In addition, he also serves as a board member of the RAICES Cultural Center, a NJ Nonprofit Corporation interested in the preservation of Caribbean cultures as reflected in music, art, dance, and the spoken word.

Mr. Laureano holds a B.A. from Rutgers College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Rutgers University School of Social Work. He is a product of the Perth Amboy public school system and currently resides in Piscataway, NJ.
